Castle Education is working with a well-established SEN provision in York who are looking to welcome a dedicated SEN Provision Teacher to their team. This full-time role will begin in September and offers the chance to work with a committed staff team and fantastic pupils in a supportive specialist environment.
This provision supports children and young people with a wide range of needs including autism (ASC) moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and social emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Class sizes are small and teaching is tailored to meet individual Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Planning and delivering personalised lessons that support each pupils individual learning journey
Building positive trusting relationships with pupils to foster engagement and wellbeing
Creating structured inclusive classroom environments that promote emotional regulation and independence
Working closely with support staff SENCOs and therapists to provide a holistic approach
Contributing to EHCP reviews and progress tracking through meaningful assessment
Access to over 25 free CPD courses tailored to SEN teaching
Long-standing relationships with specialist and mainstream settings across the region
