The Packaging Handling Storage and Transportation Fleet Manager will be a member of a dynamic team supporting Pratt & Whitneys F135 Sustainment and Production activities. The management of transportation equipment throughout the F135 Network includes full engine shipping systems and module shipping containers.

What You Will Do

  • Provide direction and support for all F135 PHS&T sustainment activities including unit level provisioning integration fleet management and technical publication development and sustainment. As the number of active sites and fleet size increases Fleet Management responsibilities will increase accordingly.

  • Provide the required procurement support for module containers engine shipping system hardware and packaging material with additional responsibilities focused on maintenance of inventory records in support of Government Property Audits.

  • Provide direct support for Depot standup activities and follow-on sustainment (both Domestic and International) provisioning of base and depot equipment.

  • Respond to field inquiries as they relate to transportation equipment and the development of equipment repair and inspection instructions.

  • The ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Associate or Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or Logistics

  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

  • Proficient with MS Word Excel and PowerPoint

  • Inventory management or other logistics experience would be most relevant for this role

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry

  • Technical familiarity with engineering blueprints and the ability to read engineering drawings

  • Basic understanding of development planning project management and inventory control.

  • Experience collaborating with a team to develop innovative ideas

  • Experience communicating clear and effective messages to a broad audience

This position is classified as onsite. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 55000 USD - 107000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.
