We are seeking an experienced System Analyst-Telematics to join the GFL Telematics Team for all technical support related to our fleets critical in-cab technologies. This role involves providing expert-level troubleshooting and support for Geotab telematics and In-cab camera systems ensuring optimal performance and user adoption for our operations drivers and various business units.
The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving complex hardware and software issues maintaining detailed documentation and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to deliver seamless service. With a strong understanding of in-cab technologies like ELDs ADAS and mobile device integration you will also contribute to training initiatives empowering our users to effectively utilize these essential tools. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level technical support and troubleshooting forGeotab telematics software and hardware including GO devices and associated peripherals.
- Offer comprehensive support forIn-cab camera systems including installation verification video retrieval event analysis and troubleshooting of device functionalities.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related toin-cab hardware components such as dashcams ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices) ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) and their integration with mobile devices.
- Assist end-users (drivers dispatchers fleet managers etc.) with questions and issues regardingGeotab and In-Cab Camera platforms ensuring optimal utilization for business objectives.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify potential issues with telematics devices and camera systems escalating to vendors or internal teams as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all support interactions incidents and resolutions within a ticketing system.
- Participate in the testing and deployment of new Geotab and In-Cab Camera system features software updates and hardware revisions.
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of demonstrated experiencein an application support or technical support role specifically focused on telematics fleet management or in-cab technology.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Geotab telematics solutions including the Geotab MyGeotab platform GO devices and related add-ons.
- Some expertise in supporting in-cab camera systems including device troubleshooting video retrieval event analysis
- In-depth knowledge ofin-cab hardware technologies such as dashcams Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and mobile device integration within a fleet environment.
- Excellentanalytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues related to software hardware and network connectivity.
- Stronginterpersonal and communication skills capable of clearly explaining technical concepts to non-technical users and collaborating effectively with drivers fleet managers IT staff and vendors.
- Ability towork independently and manage multiple prioritiesin a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- A valid drivers license and theability to travel occasionallywithin Canada and the US for support training or installation purposes.
- Relevant certifications in telematics fleet management or IT support are considered a plus.
