JOB SUMMARY
The University of Connecticut is seeking an audiology faculty member for a Clinic Director/Clinical Professor position in the Department of Speech Language and Hearing Sciences (SLHS). The candidate will be appointed to a non-tenure track position a rank to be determined by addition to the teaching responsibilities required of an SLHS audiology clinical faculty member the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the operation of the clinic including financial staffing service delivery documentation equipment and resources for student learning and patient care services. The candidate will ensure practices of the clinic and student practicum experiences meet standards for accreditation of graduate programs by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Associations Council for Academic Accreditation and the standards for certification of individuals by ASHAs Council for Clinical Certification. The candidate must have good communication skills and the ability to work closely with others within the university community.
The SLHS department is housed within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Its primary missions are to conduct and disseminate high-quality basic translational and applied research in the speech language and hearing sciences; to educate and support graduate students and postdocs in becoming highly qualified ethical and discerning researchers clinical practitioners and other professionals in SLHS; and to prepare undergraduate students for graduate study in SLHS with a strong and comprehensive foundational curriculum. SLHS offers CAA-accredited clinical graduate training programs in audiology (Au.D.) and speech language pathology (M.A.) an undergraduate major (B.A.) and a research-intensive (Ph.D.) program. It is home to the UCONN Speech and Hearing Clinic a fee-for-service clinic and a site for clinical training of graduate students in the audiology and speech-language pathology graduate programs. The UConn Speech and Hearing Clinic offers accessible compassionate state of the art evidence-based clinical care in speech language pathology and audiology across the lifespan to the community.

APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a full-time 9-month non-tenure track position with an anticipated start date of January 1 2026. The successful candidates academic appointment will be at the Storrs campus. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
