Job Summary

As a Patient Advocate Representative you will be responsible for handling inbound and outbound patient provider and physician calls and answeringquestions related to third party billing. This is a fully remote position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Answer questions related to third party billing while maintaining productivitystandards and performance guarantees where applicable.
  • Identify and escalate in a prudent manner concerns received from patientsand/or clients so that corrective action can be pursued and expedited to takecare of their needs.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all inquiries within practicemanagement system including uploading all correspondence and EOBs tocorrect accounts.
  • Set-up budget plans and prompt pay discounts following approved patient billingguidelines.
  • Collect patient payments over the phone to be run through credit card processingsystem.
  • Provide receipts to cash posting department to ensure payment is posted to thecorrect patients encounter.
  • Work to research and resolve problems in a timely manner.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Hourly Wage Estimate: $15.43 - $23.89 (Several factors such as specific skill set education level certifications and years of experience are considered to determine actual compensation.)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • One (1) year certificate from a college or technical school.
  • Experience:
  • Two (2) years of related experience and/or training.
  • Experience working with NextGen preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others using spoken word.
  • Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to deal with others in an antagonistic situation.
  • Ability to take care of the customers needs while following company procedures.

  • Proficient with a computer and good knowledge and understanding of MS office
  • programs and email
  • Proficient with general office equipment.
