Plant 52 App Board Builder Shift 5Position Overview
Build go-by boards for the swatch lines to use in manufacturing.
Responsible for checking the accuracy and quality of the board hardware label information carpet shades and beveling quality.
Essential Duties:
(Considering job knowledge job environment effort manipulative skill judgment safety knowledge and responsibility).
Coordinate with the swatch line Leads and Supervisor to determine what work orders to build.
Check the shade of the beveled die cut swatches and tops against the QC standard.
If the shade is questionable have the QE Technician check the material.
If the shade is rejected order a shortage to fill the order.
Check that the beveling quality is clean and at a proper angle.
Glue a beveled swatch in the correct tray slot to make a go-by board for the swatch assembly line.
Check color names numbers and style names and number on boards and labels by comparing information to the work order.
Use the computer to check mainframe screens for available stock when shortages arise.
Must have a flexible working schedule and be available to work overtime and/or weekends as needed.
Walk to the mezzanine as needed to retrieve swatches for shortages.
Cut and bevel shortages as needed.
Non-Essential Duties:
(Considering job knowledge job environment effort manipulative skills judgment safety knowledge and responsibility).
Other duties as requested by Supervisor or management.
Fill-in on the swatch lines as needed.
Help at reject line as needed.
Will be required to participate in stretching exercises as directed by the Supervisor or lead.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment.
Position requires standing during most of the shift.
Requires the ability to lift boards weighing 10-15 lbs/pc an average 20 times/day.
May occasionally require lifting totes and glue boxes weighing up to 25 lb.
Must be able to push a loaded buggy as needed.
Must be able to walk to the mezzanine as needed.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to accurately distinguish color differences
Must be able to read/write English
Basic computer skills.
