Roles and Responsibilities
- Execute the design analysis or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards practices procedures and product / program requirements. This work would include mechanical and/or electrical engineering for all products.
- Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
- A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 3 years experience in disciplinary engineering and science

Desired Characteristics
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document plan market and execute programs. Established project management in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrated with others.
- Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
- May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
- Previous HPT blade mechanical design experience is preferred.
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
