Head of Biologics and Developmental Drugs

As Head of Biologics and Developmental Drugs you lead a team of Scientists and Analytical Validation Managers who are responsible for the development transfer and validation of new methods to our facility. This is coordinated together with a dedicated lab team who do the experiments for the different experimental setups. The lab team is under supervision of a Team Leader with whom you would need to cooperate with on a daily basis.

The responsibilities consist of:

• Leading the department of biologics and developmental drugs;
• Control all projects regarding biologics and developmental products;
• Develop methodologies and opportunities for future work in collaboration with business unit manager and business development;
• Setting up projects in collaboration with business development and other business units;
• Arrange technical input for new quotations;
• Managing the budget and project pipeline of the department;
• Approval of protocols reports exceptions and deviations;
• Collaborate with laboratory Team Leader on a daily basis;
• First point of contact for the department in case of issues.

Qualifications :

• PhD MSc or a BSc degree in analytical chemistry biochemistry or organic chemistry;
• 5 years of relevant working experience;
• Experience in a leadership position or extensive project lead experience;
• Working experience in development and validation of analytical methods;
• Experience in a (preferably) GMP or otherwise GLP environment;
• Independent thorough and able to perform under pressure;
• Good command of the English language and at least a basic understanding of Dutch
• You are located in the Netherlands or you are planning to relocate to the Netherlands and are in possession of a valid working permit.
