Job Description
Elk Valley Resources (EVR) operates four steelmaking coal mines that employ over 5000 people in the Elk Valley of British Columbia. We are committed to responsible resource development environmental performance and building strong partnerships with communities and Indigenous Peoples.

In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Responsible for data interrogation of weekly quality performance using multiple platforms such as Power BI
- Research project on influence of mineralogy on coking performance including sampling coordinating testing with external labs and interpretation of results
- Present at weekly meetings with mine site teams on quality performance
- Compile and deliver monthly quality performance of Operations to technical marketing team
- Participate in lab audits
- Create and evaluate innovative ideas and technologies to help improve the way we do business
Requirements:
- Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Geology Chemical or Process Engineering
- A valid Class 5 Drivers License or extra-provincial equivalent without learners restrictions
- Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate and present complex ideas and technical information to all levels
- Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and to build relationships across multi-disciplinary technical teams
- Good trouble shooting critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong computer skills particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite package: Excel Word and Outlook

Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
