Job Description

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The position of Support Coordinator is for providing administrative and logistical support for the Career & Technical Education Department and Bellevue Digital Discovery.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)

Provides support as required for Career & Technical Education and Bellevue Digital Discovery programs services and referrals
Serves as customer service contact for the Career & Technical Education and Bellevue Digital Discovery programs and initiatives
Compiles data for State District and Board reporting
Monitors and tracks department budget including requisitions purchase orders and payment to district staff
Maintains and updates department communication including email website and other methods
Coordinates supports and services with internal and external stakeholders/community agencies for Teaching and Learning including supplies ordering and inventory
Maintains and tracks student data as required for the position
Provides direct or indirect administrative support for Career & Technical Education and Bellevue Digital Discovery
Works collaboratively with other departments as required
Provides information and referral services for community support services
Arranges for translation/interpretation services within the scope of the position
Facilitates the logistical functions
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Audit transaction allocation reports for weekly payment net
Coordinates and monitors travel activities for staff and teachers

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports directly to and is supervised by the Director of Career & Technical Education and the Principal of Bellevue Digital Discovery or their designees.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require):

Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years working with families and children in a community organization or school district
3 years previous administrative support experience demonstrating increasing responsibilities

Preferred
Bachelors degree
Minimum of two years working in a school setting
Bilingual or multilingual

Allowable Substitutions
Education and experience may be substituted for educational requirements

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS (positions in this class typically require):

Washington State Drivers License Preferred

KNOWLEDGE (position requirements at entry):

Knowledge of District Strategic Plan and focus on equity and inclusion
Possesses knowledge of District procedures regarding accounting budget and purchasing
Awareness of confidentiality requirements as stated in federal and state law and District policies and procedures
Awareness of the impact of social and economic factors on families and students that impact student success
Possesses knowledge of district resources accessible to families
Possesses knowledge of required computer applications and programs for the position
Understanding basic structure of schools

Ability to work under pressure and meet inflexible deadlines which may require working additional hours including some weekends
Ability to prioritize work with a focus on balancing crisis/family need situations with administrative support work.
Ability to collaborate with other school employees parents and community members and organizations.
Demonstrates situational awareness to positively impact families and students.
Demonstrates multicultural sensitivity with the ability to effectively and collaboratively work with diverse populations.
Ability to perform all duties in accordance with all applicable Board policies and district and legal requirements.
Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Positions in this class typically require: stooping kneeling crouching reaching standing walking pushing pulling lifting finger dexterity grasping talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions.

Light Work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time.

Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts odors chemicals extreme temperatures inadequate lighting workspace restrictions and intense noises.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

AISP pay range D $ 31.26 to $ 32.62 per hour (starting hourly rate is $31.26per hour) based on negotiated collective bargaining agreement. Work schedule is 40 hours per week for a 227 day annual dental vision long-term disability and life-insurance eligibility is based upon 630 hours worked within a school year. Retirement provided through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems.
