About the Role

The People Partner will work directly with a group of engaged and passionate Senior People Partners and be responsible for providing consistent and appropriate advice and support to managers and employees in relation to a full range of people related matters. On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for:

Supporting Senior People Partners in a variety of ways including change management initiatives the implementation of people & culture strategies and case management

Interpretation of Enterprise Agreements policies legislation and other relevant information.

Supporting the implementation of strategic projects as well as operational activities including accreditation and quality improvement initiatives.

Assistance in managing employee relations/IR activities including engaging with industrial association representatives

Act as a liaison and first point of escalation to provide support to the HR advisors and administrators


Your Contribution

HR Qualification graduate or post graduate or equivalent

Proven ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders through highly developed communication and interpersonal skills ability to influence and sound coaching and mentoring skills.

Demonstrated computer proficiency with HR information systems recruitment learning management systems rostering and other HR technologies and Microsoft Office applications.

A sound understanding of and experience in contemporary human resource management including the ability to interpret policy directives Enterprise Agreements and relevant legislation and provide advice and support to management.

Proven capacity to determine the most appropriate and sound HR solutions to a given problem to improve productivity and effectiveness in organisational performance.

Demonstrated ability to accurately prepare a range of complex documents including letters reports referral notes to a high standard.

Demonstrated research and analytical skills including the ability to manipulate data into reports and spreadsheets for various purposes together with a strong attention to detail.

The People and Culture Department provides all facets of Generalist HR Services including Employee and Industrial Relations Attraction Recruitment and Selection and People Partnering. To support these functions the People Partnering team consists of People Partners and Senior People Partners.

ROLE IMPACT

The purpose of this role is to provide consistent and appropriate advice and support to managers and employees in relation to the full range of people related matters. The People Partner provides support to the Senior People Partner by the key stakeholders within the assigned portfolio on matters including but not limited to: Case management of matters regarding workforce procedures including grievances misconduct and performance improvement Supporting Senior People Partners in change management initiatives.

MANAGING TODAY

Provide appropriate advice and support to management supervisors and employees in the full range of people related matters. Interpretation of Enterprise Agreements policies legislation and other relevant information. Support and participate in the development implementation and review of organisational change initiatives within the relevant portfolio including restructures.

Support the Senior People Partner in the implementation of people & culture strategy within the allocated service area.

Assist in managing employee relations / IR activities including dealing with industrial association representatives including participation with staff and union consultations under the leadership and direction of the Head of People Partnering Provide advice/support in role design job evaluation and applications for regrades Support the implementation of strategic projects and initiatives within the assigned portfolio.

    Support operational activities including accreditation quality improvement initiatives and the delivery of facility KPls. Build and maintain effective relationships with line management and key stakeholders within the allocated client groups to ensure priorities are met. Support the Senior People Partners with management of misconduct grievances and performance related matters within relevant portfolio including providing guidance support coaching and education to managers.

    Support the injury management non-work-related health conditions and work health & safety portfolio in conjunction with the Senior People Partner and Work Health and Safety team members. Act as a liaison between various stakeholders in the People Connect team and the People Partnerships team.
