About the Cornell Office of Civil Rights

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director of Civil Rights Compliance with dotted line reporting to the Title IX Coordinator the Civil Rights Case Manager is responsible for ensuring that all reports made to the Cornell Office of Civil Rights (COCR) are responded to promptly effectively and empathetically. Specifically they will triage reports of discrimination and harassment to include sexual harassment and related misconduct conduct timely and customized outreach to involved parties to provide information on available resources schedule intake meetings and conduct intake meetings as appropriate. Working closely with Investigators and other COCR staff the Case Manager will coordinate any necessary interim or supportive measures and accommodations and ensure proper case documentation through the life of a matter. The Case Manager will manage all sanction follow-up to ensure compliance with sanction addition and critically this role maintains all electronic case records to ensure case files are complete up to date and capture all required information.

Hybrid/Hub Remote

This positions home location is Cornells campus in Ithaca New York. The successful applicant will typically be expected to work on-site at least 3 days a week and will have the option to work remotely 2 days per week.

The New York Convenience of Employer guidelines require New York State individual tax reporting and withholdings for this position. Additional individual state income tax filings may also be required if working temporarily outside New York State.
