The Human Resource Site Manger/Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff administering pay benefits and leave and enforcing company policies and practices. This position is an integral partner in managing recruiting and onboarding activities and building relationships. The ideal candidate will possess great communication skills have the ability to shift gears quickly and enjoy the challenges of helping to build a great organization of talented individuals. Work 40 hours a week (Monday- Friday 8:00am 5:00pm) Position to be located Shelton CT Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Key responsibilities include but not limited to: - Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Managing full life-cycle recruitment including setting search strategy posting job openings actively sourcing candidates pre-screening interviewing and presenting qualified candidate to hiring managers negotiating offers and facilitating the hiring and on-boarding processes. Serve as a partner to Hiring Managers executing on all coordination efforts related to specific business units.
- Identify and implement sourcing strategies. Advance Companys talent acquisition goals and results for sourcing and hiring diverse talent.
- Support the design and integration of DEI business processes in the full employee lifecycle (e.g. hiring onboarding employee engagement performance management learning and development)
- Leverage social platforms and on line recruitment resources to create brand awareness
- Responsible for job description program.
- Regularly update candidate records statuses and dispositions job postings and hiring information in the companys ATS to ensure compliance with Federal and State employment laws to include affirmative action.
- Maintains new employee onboarding and orientation training material/packets and conducts new hire orientations.
- Prepare or update employment records related to hiring transferring promoting or terminating.
- Conducts benefit orientations. Processes benefits enrollments. Answers benefit eligibility questions
- In collaboration recommend plan develop and implement training programs within realm of responsibilities. (e.g. train/educate hiring managers on applying effective and compliant candidate screening interviewing talent selection processes)
- Responds to general employee HR questions and resolves employee relations issues.
- Employee engagement survey coordinator and administration
- Support Employee Development Program as required
- Participate in employee engagement initiatives based on data received thru retention surveys and exit interviews. Assist with organizing and coordinating company engagement activities to include benefits and wellness programs social events recognition programs and philanthropic activities as required.
- Lead for the assessment of HR infrastructure (programs policies processes systems) with the objective of achieving best practices efficiencies quality of services compliance and new ways to simplify and scale work.
- Responsible to track employees employee reviews and RAPs.
- Assisting with tracking and analyzing company analytics and metrics. Assists with audits compliance reviews and other mandatory reports.
- Performs administrative activities in support of building/facility and HR operations (supplies invoicing review and approvals facility maintenance items). May take on assignments from various areas of HR.
- Help with special projects and company and community events as assigned.
- Ensure filing systems are maintained and current
- All other duties as assigned
Knowledge Skills Abilities and Requirements: - College degree or higher in Related Field
- Federal and State regulation knowledge
- Previous experience with various selection processes from reviewing resumes screening candidates conducting phone interviews scheduling of interviews and reference checking.
- Strong computer skills including MS Excel and MS outlook. Familiarity with HR information systems
- Strong customer service orientation with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.
- Experience reviewing resumes for a match with job descriptions.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; articulate communication style.
- Ability to interface with all levels of the organization and with external candidates.
- Highest sense of urgency but maintains accuracy and efficiency; respectful persistence is key day to day and knowing when to push back
- Great organizational skills and attention to detail able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexible able to change direction quickly.
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
- Internet savvy with strong research skills and use of social media

- Associates degree preferred and at least 2 years of human resources recruiting and benefits experience
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Experience with applicant tracking systems a plus
