Job Summary:

Engineering Co-ops at Pratt & Whitney work on challenging meaningful and impactful projects across our business. Were looking for students with an engineers curiosity an explorers heart and a perfectionists grit to help us build the future of aerospace. Whether supporting Mature Commercial Engines our industry-leading Geared Turbofan engines Military Engine programs Operations or Business Support functions the objectives of our program are to help you to develop an understanding of our industry our company its operations and how each discipline and department contributes to the success of our products and customer partnerships. What You Will Do:

• Designs major components or major portions of functional systems technically advanced prototypes and specific products using computer design and engineering systems.
• Investigates pertinent design factors such as ease of manufacture availability of materials and equipment interchangeability replaceability strength-weight efficiency and contractual specifications requirements and cost.
• Provides analytical support through all design phase production manufacturing and field support services.
• Analysis and disposition of quality non-conformances (QNs) for new parts and supplier requests for information (SRIs).
• English (read write speak) is required when communicating with customers co-workers or supervisors who only speak English

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Enrolled in a degree program in Mechanical Engineering and/or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design development technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases combustors turbines (vanes blades rotors and cases) augmenters (military) nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.

Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering Mechanical Design Structural Analysis Durability and Product Definition.

This position is classified as hybrid. Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
