At DKB Code Factory youd be taking on a leading role in our Pega chapter. Your mission will be to lead and grow a top-of-the-line chapter of Pega engineers at the heart of DKBs digital transformation. Our Pega teams build digital self-service solutions that automate operations reduce manual work and enable fast reliable customer service. Your engineering leadership will help shape the experience of millions of customers making banking more efficient intuitive and human.

To be successfull in this role you become a trustedpeople leader and delivery coach. Your teams grow perform and collaborate better due to your detail youll...

  • Foster a Safe Remote Team Culture: Within your first weeks schedule and run regular 1:1s get to know your people well meet important stakeholders and start building good relationships. Create trust and psychological safety and lead bonding initiatives.
  • Build Your Own Pega Foundation (if not present already): Get a solid overview of Pega low-code technology including the case lifecycle rules-based architecture deployment with branches and pipelines and how testing works. Aim to complete your SSA certification within your first 2 months.
  • Grow a High-Performing Team: Help your people set personal development goals in the first 3 months. Provide regular and effective feedback supportive career coaching and structured 360 reviews.
  • Accelerate Delivery in your Teams: Take ownership of the software delivery performance for your Pega teams. Within your first 5 months review key delivery metrics like velocity and Say/Do ratio identify areas for improvement and coach your team to make the right process changes to unlock better performance.
  • Strengthen Dev-QA Collaboration: Set clear quality goals and build a culture where devs and testers collaborate closely to improve test coverage automation release reliability and confidence within your first 8 months.
  • Hire and Retain Great Talent: Within your first year start supporting our structured hiring and onboarding to bring in new junior talent and more experienced high-performing Pega engineers who pass probation and deliver real value. Propose at least two hiring or onboarding process improvements which contribute to a well-balanced internal talent pool with good retention over time.
  • Strengthen chapter capabilities (typically in year two): As you gain deeper understanding of the organization youll be expected to identify and drive a long-term high-impact initiative that enhances our Pega chapters capabilities and supports the ongoing development of the team and its leadership.

This is a hands-off people leadership role. You wont be writing code but youll need a solid technical foundation to guide your teams. So ideally you bring a background in...

  • Software development: Several years of hands-on experience building and delivering software and proficiency in multiple programming languages.
    • Bonus: Experience with low-code technology or a QA background.
  • Leadership: Experience managing people and leading software engineering teams.
  • Language skills: Strong communication skills in English. German is a big plus.
  • You are passionate about your work but also know how to enjoy your free time!
