Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Flint Assembly on a full-time basis.

The Role:

You will be responsible for planning implementing and validating production processes that ensure the quality of our product. You will work hand in hand with all departments of the assembly plant to ensure the General Assembly is adhering to process control plans and all quality processes to be audit ready at all times.

What Youll Do (Responsibilities):

  • Implement and validate all process control plans
  • Develop quality processes that improve first time quality rates
  • Review and Implement processes that reduce Risk Priority numbers through PFMEA analysis
  • Work with production quality & maintenance to improve quality metrics
  • Participate and champion GMS through basket weave process
  • Support production needs as necessary
  • Work hand in hand with maintenance to implement Tools and Equipment Bulletins
  • Ensure department readiness for ISO GMS BIQ and PCP audits and calibrations
  • Assist with planning and prep for GA department TIP meetings
  • Assist with automation/innovation projects

Additional Job Description

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience (automotive industry at least 3 years)
  • Ability to work off-shift and over-time as needed
  • Experience working in manufacturing with a background in continuous improvement
  • Experience working with and implementing quality systems
  • Experience in implementation of lean manufacturing concepts
  • Strong oral & written communication skills

  • Experience with product quality and quality systems
  • Understands the importance of quality processes and process discipline
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office

  • Project management and time management skills
