Job Description

About this role:

The Senior Logistics and Tolling Manager oversees one or more teams within a region and implements strategies to enhance logistics and tolling efficiency resilience and responsiveness. This role involves advanced planning and resource management to ensure cost-effective and reliable warehousing transportation and supply chain operations across multiple locations and complex logistics networks. The scope includes domestic shipments and the management of import/export shipments. This includes ocean transportation modes dry van bulk truck inter modal small package rail and air. The position is responsible for operational KPIs network capacity and cost management of all outbound logistics activities.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead logistics operations within the NOAM region. Managing a team of Logistics Managers responsible for transportation exports/imports and 3PL warehousing and tolling ensuring alignment with Supply Chain and broader business objectives.
  • Mentor and develop Logistics management fostering talent development and preparing future leaders for expanded responsibilities.
  • Support the development and implementation of logistics and tolling strategies that improve shipping times optimize stock movement and minimize downtime across locations.
  • Oversee complex logistics and tolling scenarios such as multi-site warehousing or high-volume order processing ensuring smooth and timely operations.
  • Monitor and analyze logistics metrics driving continuous improvement and addressing areas for increased efficiency and cost control.
  • Coordinate closely with senior leadership in Planning Procurement Sales & Account Management and Manufacturing & Production to support demand changes sales activities and operational goals.
  • Manage relationships with key logistics providers ensuring service reliability supporting contract negotiations and maintaining compliance with global logistics standards.
  • Managing and leveraging the T&L Transportation Management System to ensure exceptional service to customers while achieving cost targets
  • Planning and directing the Transportation activities to support sales initiatives and achieve stated business targets; Providing timely pricing guidance to commercial teams to ensure overall margin realization
  • Providing new supply chain end to end design and competitive costing
  • Ensuring that required transportation capacity is identified and carrier capacity is aligned with need
  • Ensuring pro-active tracking of shipments to meet customers required delivery date.
  • Facilitate operations of 3PL warehouse providers and tollers to ensure best in class inventory management and fulfillment processes are followed
  • Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain Organization.
  • Understanding specific customer needs to help us to retain customers win new ones and develop the idea of customer focus.
  • Recruiting selecting and developing Transportation and warehousing employees to ensure the highest possible levels of capability while contributing and adhering to the Group wide principles for Talent Management.
  • Participating with appropriate trade and regulatory groups to represent T&Ls stance with regards to transportation policy

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree Masters in Logistics or MBA preferred
  • 10 years operational logistics experience in relevant industry
  • Advanced understanding of the policies objectives operations and related activities within a Logistics and tolling Region. Expert knowledge in supply chain management and broad knowledge of several related disciplines.
  • Advanced communication skills to persuade and influence key external stakeholders including suppliers customers shipping companies and couriers. The role needs to adapt styles interpret and explain information to different audiences from inside and outside the organization who are not familiar with the subject matter.
  • Lead one or more teams of Logistics/Warehousing Managers Analysts and Operators. Accountable for establishing and meeting team targets delegating work and managing resources within a region including line management duties and budgeting.
  • Oversees the resolution of complex or unusual issues utilizing original thought or unique approaches and sophisticated analytical techniques to guide the development of the end-to-end logistics process.
  • Proven ability to significantly influence sub-regional outcomes through effective decision-making for assigned team(s).
  • Able to direct the application of existing principles and provide insights to senior management about the development of new policies ideas and logistics and shipping practices.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%

When determining final compensation we take into consideration: skillset job scope knowledge prior experience cost of living market data budget availability and other factors as permitted by law.

The salary range for this position is: $115000 - $181000.
