Job Title:High School Drama DirectorLocation:South Burlington High SchoolJob Group:Co-CurricilarPay Level:StipendReports To:Director of Student ActivitiesSummary: Directs and manages the school theatre program including theatrical productions rehearsals and related co-curricular drama activities; fosters student growth through performing arts experiences. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible planning and directing a theatrical production: Organize and lead auditions rehearsals and casting in a fair and inclusive production elements including sets lighting sound props makeup and costumes in collaboration with staff students and student creativity collaboration and skill development in theatre student actors and technical crew during rehearsals and performances: Ensure safety protocols are followed during all drama with music art and technical departments when production logistics:Venue setup publicity ticketing and schedulingManage the production budget and assist with fundraising when necessaryOther duties as Responsibilities: The ability to work in a collaborative team environment is essential to the employees successful job performance. The ability to perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and School Board policies is essential. Regular attendance in accordance with the established work schedule is set construction performances and other duties often take place outside of regular school hours especially during the production Requirements: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
