Shape the Foundation of Home Services Technology: Contribute to Shack Shines Backend Evolution!
Imagine playing a key role in building the technological backbone that powers exceptional home service experiences. At Shack Shine were leveraging smart user-centric solutions to transform how we connect with customers and empower our front-line teams. And were looking for an enthusiastic and driven DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us automate and streamline our technology operations and processes.
Were not just adopting technology; were a technology-driven company at our core obsessed with creating exceptional user experiences and leveraging innovative solutions to redefine our industry. As a key member of our engineering team youll be instrumental in:
- Help build manage and maintain our cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform.
- Develop and improve our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate builds testing and deployments.
- Help manage source code branching strategies and repository access within GitHub.
- Monitor system performance and reliability responding to incidents as they arise.
- Contribute to technical documentation for infrastructure and processes.
- Help manage and support key IT infrastructure on behalf of our business
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- A foundational understanding of DevOps concepts and Agile methodologies.
- Some experience with Terraform to define and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Familiarity with core AWS services (e.g. EC2 S3 IAM VPC).
- Proficiency using GitHub for version control and GitHub Actions for automation.
- Comfortable working with command-line tools in Linux and macOS.
- A strong desire to learn a collaborative spirit and excellent problem-solving skills.
IDEAL BUT NOT REQUIRED
- Experience with scripting languages like Bash or Python.
- Knowledge of container technologies like Docker.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus Grafana or AWS CloudWatch.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Salary is $70000 to $85000 per annum (The actual salary offered will be commensurate with education experience and internal parity).

HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT
We have created a hybrid work model that helps us get together to Collaborate Celebrate and Connect while enjoying the flexibility of working where it makes sense for you. For this roles duty and responsibility we anticipate that you will come into the office three to four times per week.
