Job Description
Location: Rowlett TX 75088
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
- Provide direct patient care to neonates in a Level II/III NICU setting.
- Monitor vital signs and clinical status respond to emergencies and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Administer medications IVs feedings and respiratory support as prescribed.
- Collaborate with neonatologists respiratory therapists and fellow RNs to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessments interventions and patient responses.
- Educate and support families throughout their NICU journey offering guidance and emotional support.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols within the NICU environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
- Current RN license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification must be obtained shortly after hire.
- 1 year of recent NICU experience.
- Strong critical thinking communication and patient advocacy skills.
