We are a strategic Explore Partner for JSW Steel in Goa Maharashtra and Sricity ( Near Chennai) and handled 125000 MT of finished steel in FY 2024-25. With a workforce of strong-willed professionals and scale-driven vision we are looking to institutionalize a best-in-class HR strategy that matches our growth.

Role Overview

The Group HR will act as the architect of HR systems and culture across JGIs units with Goa as the central hub. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role responsible for HR policy design staff governance statutory compliances performance and benefits management and industrial relations across the Group.

You ll work directly with the promoters and plant heads to align HR practices with business needs scale teams manage workforce productivity reduce attrition and improve employer brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Design & Governance

  • Create document and implement HR policies SOPs and HR manuals for all units.

  • Introduce code of conduct leave policies disciplinary procedures and grievance redressal frameworks.

  • Ensure policies are compliant with applicable labor laws ESIC PF Factories Act and industry standards.

  • Continuously update policies to reflect changing regulatory operational and cultural dynamics.

Staff Management & Workforce Planning

  • Create and maintain manpower plans shift rosters and skill-matrix-driven hiring frameworks across departments.

  • Drive staff onboarding training and career progression frameworks especially for blue-collar technical and mid-level staff.

  • Build an employee-first performance-led culture rooted in trust accountability and opportunity.

  • Maintain HR dashboards and MIS to track hiring absenteeism attrition training and engagement KPIs.

Performance & Benefits Management

  • Design and implement performance appraisal systems across staff levels plant operations sales and admin.

  • Introduce incentive plans bonus systems variable pay and R&R programs tied to measurable business outcomes.

  • Lead salary benchmarking exercises and propose compensation corrections periodically.

  • Drive employee satisfaction through benefits engagement events retention programs and reward culture.

Industrial Relations & Statutory Compliance

  • Manage all aspects of IR with shop floor teams contractors trade unions (if applicable) and regulators.

  • Handle labor grievances negotiations settlements strikes absenteeism and other IR dynamics professionally.

  • Ensure zero non-compliance on all statutory matters (labor inspections factory audits EHS etc.).

  • Build strong relationships with local authorities vendors and legal counsel to preempt risks and ensure smooth operations.

HR Systems Digitization & Culture Building

  • Introduce or streamline HRMS platforms attendance systems and payroll automation tools.

  • Define HR KPIs and success metrics retention engagement training hours bench strength etc.

  • Foster an open transparent growth-driven HR culture aligned with the company s entrepreneurial DNA.

  • Act as a sounding board to promoters and proactively propose org development and transformation initiatives.

Who We re Looking For:

Must-Haves

  • 10 years of HR experience in manufacturing/industrial/plant-based companies.

  • Strong background in HR policy creation employee life cycle management and performance frameworks.

  • Demonstrated expertise in industrial relations shop floor HR and workforce governance.

  • Hands-on experience managing statutory compliances and HR audits.

  • Ability to build scalable systems across multi-location units and functions.

Soft Skills & Attributes

  • Highly structured and documentation-oriented professional with strong execution ability.

  • A strong communicator and mediator capable of aligning leadership supervisors and staff.

  • Personable yet firm in enforcing accountability and systems.

  • Strong conflict resolution and crisis management capability.
