Job Description

Prepare lesson materials grade assignments manage the classroom and evaluate/give feedback to studentsProvide academic interventions to small groups of students or in a classroom with the teacher* Administer analyze and use diagnostic benchmarking systems to guide instruction. Exercise open and respectful communication with families co-workers supervisors and other school staffMeasure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis and provide progress reports as requiredCreate and keep records on attendance accidents incidents and other noteworthy events in accordance with licensing guidelines and program policiesAttend conferences and workshops in order to further advance professional developmentManage student behavior in accordance with outlined guidelinesProvide a safe thriving and respectful environment for all students in the classroom and on the school campusQualifications Bachelors degree or higherTeaching credential/certificate/license for corresponding age/grade levelHighly developed oral and written communication skillsAbility to build relationships effectively and professionally with families and studentsExperience developing and implementing curriculumPhysical ability to handle frequent sitting stooping bending pushing pulling and moving throughout the roomProven ability to maintain a safe and studious classroom environmentDemonstrated ability to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum
