The Assistant Director Entrepreneurship hub (eHub) plays an integral role in advancing the Universitys entrepreneurship priorities. With goals of offering tailored support and mentorship the individual must adapt and provide sound leadership for the continued growth and evolution in entrepreneurship at the University.
The Assistant Director eHub will lead the design planning and success of eHub programs and activities that are cross-institution in scope with the intent to bring meaningful entrepreneurship experiences to students researchers faculty and alumni.
The individual directs all program activities while developing medium and long-term strategies to align itself with the Universitys Transformation 2030 pillars and offer best-in-class programs and support services.
Specific Accountabilities
Knowledge Experience and Skills
Masters degree or an equivalent combination of related education and experience
10 years of experience in entrepreneurship business ventures and management of entrepreneurship programs
A minimum of five years in entrepreneurship-related program delivery activities
The successful candidate will have strong entrepreneurial leadership operational and interpersonal relations credentials and a passion for education and training of the next generation of entrepreneurs and agents of change.
Knowledge of fundraising concepts and appropriate solicitation techniques.
Knowledge of budget processes.
Knowledge of with start-up companies and early stage investment.
Experience leading student and/or alumni volunteers desirable.
Experience in fundraising desirable.
Excellent interpersonal and human relations skills; able to work with a dynamic and diverse set of students alumni faculty staff and external stakeholders in a university environment.
Organization and planning skills.
Leadership skills; ability to set priorities and execute them in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
Ability to initiate and maintain professional relationships.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French at the time of appointment.

The rating is determined by a proficiency test designed by the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute.
