Job Description

Summary/Objective

Under general supervision an District Coordinator-Federal Programs and Evaluations performs a variety of confidential and complex secretarial and administrative duties for the Director of Federal Programs and Evaluations and or Assistant Superintendent. This classification is distinguished from lower level secretarial and clerical classifications by the more complex responsible and sensitive duties related to its functioning as the secretary to theAssistant Superintendentas well as the ability to coordinate the procurement and dissemination of materials office supplies manipulatives and to teachers and schools district-wide.

Essential Functions

  1. Respond to all internal and external customers as it relates to position in a prompt efficient friendly and patient manner.
  2. Provide administrative support to the Director of Federal Programs and Evaluations including conducting time-sensitive research assisting with incoming phone calls scheduling meetings and participating in the coordination of new teacher induction.
  3. Perform administrative functions in support of the academic services department including entering purchase orders researching pricing and working with Finance on ordering supplies and materials needed for the department and professional development classes.
  4. Help with DIBELS testing at the schools.
  5. Perform clerical functions involving typing and distributing correspondence.
  6. Register and make travel arrangements for Director of Federal Programs and Evaluations.
  7. Updates Unified Talent on new professional developement courses.
  8. Tracks professional developement hours for certificed staff.
  9. Works with HR staff on verifying SEI endorsement.
  10. Assists in preparation and deployment of new teacher induction.
  11. Set up rooms at district office or La Senita for professional development and other trainings.
  12. Maintain knowledge of and adhere to all policies regulations and rules.
  13. Perform related duties as assigned in a safe and prudent manner.

  4. Ability to work cooperatively with staff vendors and others
  5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure
  6. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite software programs and other programs as it relates to position
  7. Exercise attention to detail in carrying out responsibilities
  8. Ability to operate most standard office equipment

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment in the district office of Kingman Unified School District #20. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers phones photocopiers and filing cabinets.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  2. Regularly required to sit type and focus on a computer screen for long periods of time
  3. Regularly required to be mobile
  4. Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  5. Occasionally required to assist with set-up of meetings training classes and events

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

At-will Notice of Employment does not provide a guarantee of a particular schedule of work or a minimum number of days or hours.

This is a 12-month 40-hour per week position. Extended work hours to meet deadlines may occasionally be required.

Required Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent and three or more years progressively responsible office experience or any similar combination of education and experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

Office experience within a school setting. Experience working with Unified Talent Synergy and iVisions.

Required Certifications/Licenses

Drivers license

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be able to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Fingerprint Clearance Card with an IVP number through the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
