We are seeking applications for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager to join our ICU department on a permanent full-time basis.
Our ward is made up of 10 beds that cover ICU HDU CCU inpatient telemetry monitoring surgical and cardiac cases.
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager acts as a responsible and effective team member assists in the overall clinical management of the ward is responsible for the provision of comprehensive patient care and supervision of care given by junior staff.
The Position
Supervises nursing practice of all nursing caregivers taking responsibility for standard of nursing care delivered.
Initiates reviews and coordinates care of patients with complex health problems.
Serves as a patient advocate protecting the rights and safety of patients at all times.
Actively contributes to the development of clinical policies and procedures in area of specialty.
Responsible and accountable for nominated portfolios as designated by Nurse Manager and actively communicate with Nurse Manager updates.
Participates in and takes responsibility for the education of other caregivers by conducting formal and informal teaching sessions.
Routinely monitors the results of diagnostic procedures and investigations and report abnormalities as required to the required caregiver.
Systematically evaluates and documents the outcomes of nursing/medical interventions and report significant anomalies promptly.
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and demonstrate extensive clinical knowledge within the CCU/ICU specialty. You will have well developed analytical and problem-solving skills and knowledge of acts and legislation that impact on the practice of nursing. With demonstrated ability to develop and build effective nursing medical and interdisciplinary relationships and teams
To succeed you will have delegation planning organisational and motivational skills be committed to on-going education and self-directed learning and effectively communicate and educate patients family and staff.

We can offer you
Salary: $107721 to $111330 plus 12% superannuation
Permanent full-time position part-time options available
Hours: 24 hour rotating roster over 7 days
