Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our Maryborough macadamia operations. This hands-on leadership role will support the development of large-scale farming systems by maintaining farm plant and equipment leading repairs and contributing to the design and improvement of machinery and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and repairing farm plant and equipment to minimise downtime
- Developing a workshop maintenance plan and documentation
- Leading the safe and timely delivery of workshop and field maintenance tasks
- Assisting in the design modification and installation of new and existing farming equipment
- Protecting and maintaining company assets across multiple farm sites
- Contribute to maintenance budgets and capital expenditure planning
- Supporting safety systems processes and training in line with WHS requirements
- Acting as a role model for safe and ethical work behaviour
- Supervising or working independently across various farm locations
Requirements
The following criteria are essential to be successful in this position:
- Certificate III or higher in an Engineering trade (mechanical)
- At least 5 years of relevant trade experience ideally in an agricultural setting
- Strong skills in plant maintenance troubleshooting and fabrication
- Experience with farm irrigation systems GPS and machinery (preferred)
- Sound computer literacy including Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
- Current C-class drivers licence
- Forklift licence (required)
- Additional tickets (crane loader rigger/dogger) are advantageous
- Excellent communication planning and problem-solving skills
