The Opportunity:

As the Veterans Student Support Services (SSS) Coordinatoryou will be responsible for effective advising and implementation of a major program and student success initiative designed to support the retention and achievement of an increasingly diverse population of Veterans pursuing their first undergraduate degree.You will collaborateclosely with the Director bringing your expertise and insight to advance the programs mission.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Advising and counselingstudents to support their academic and personal success

  • Designing and deliveringimpactful student programming

  • Serving as a liaisonbetween students and University faculty supervisors and both internal and external stakeholders

  • Monitoring and evaluatingstudent services and operational effectiveness

  • Supervisinga team of undergraduate and graduate student workers who provide essential services

You will drivethe mission and strategic plan of the organization by coordinating operations cultivating opportunities strengthening stakeholder relationships and advancing strategic initiatives. Individuals who are Veterans and first-generation college graduates or from low-income backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time (100% FTE) project position. This position is overtime eligible.

Temporary End Date: This is a temporary position expected to end on 8/31/2026. Renewal is dependent on the need for extension and/or if additional funding is secured to extend employment.

Monthly Salary: $ 4061.90 - $5077.36 In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.
