Project Manager Kentuckiana Comfort Center Inc. an employee owned heating and cooling contractor located in Jeffersontown Kentucky is advertising an opening for the following position: Project Manager. Function: The Project Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the assigned projects. With the Operations Manager will determine performance standards for use in training and evaluating departmental co-workers. Essential Responsibilities: - Ensure that mandatory profit and growth goals are being met or exceeded.
- Plan coordinate and direct the overall operations of the assigned projects according to company standards.
- Ensure that local and state codes are being met.
- Evaluate the strength of the project team maintain a work force consistent with business activity.
- Ensure that all personnel are committed serving our customer base and building strong relationships with all contractors.
- Monitor site safety and keep MOD rating < .9.
- Maintain positive communications with customer and field.
- Maintain Key Performance Indicators as laid out by construction team.
- Maintain appropriate contract documents such as submittal logs RFIs Change Order requests and profitably transition extra work into change orders.
- Ensure the installations meet the intent of the contract and perform to the project budget.
- Take full responsibility for the successful and profitable outcome of your assigned projects.
Additional Responsibilities: - Schedule site personnel to keep overtime to a minimum.
- Track monthly gross margin contributions of the Construction Department by means of accounting information and reports to the Operations Manager.
- Understand and utilize the company reporting systems to keep accurate records of material and equipment usage.
- Actively support departmental co-workers on company safety standards and ensure all safety rules are being followed.
- Conduct regular meetings and site inspections with departmental co-workers.
- Approve all change orders as they come in for accuracy and completion.
- Work with the Sales team to assist them with technical questions and applications.
- Ensure that all site personnel are adhering to dress code and that proper customer relations policies and procedures are being followed.
Qualifications: - Ability to read and understand documents such as safety rules plans specifications contracts submittals operating and maintenance manuals/instructions procedure manuals and job budgets.
- Must be able to calculate figures and amounts as required for both paperwork and formulas relating to job function.
- Ability to work efficiently given time pressures heavy workload requirements weather varying customer needs and demands and back log constraints.
Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Requires bending stooping and standing.
- Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day. (Overtime may extend time period.)
- Must be able to handle heavy objects such as ladders tools equipment and other items needed to perform job function.
- Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding.
- Good visual and spatial perception.
