Key Responsibilities
Lead Production Set up and operate press brake machines guiding team members in best practices and maintaining high standards across all shifts.
Setup & Programming Read and interpret complex blueprints and work orders. Program and configure press brakes (Amada Trumpf Cincinnati etc.) to precise tolerances.
Quality Assurance Inspect formed parts using calipers protractors and other tools to ensure accuracy and consistency. Review your own and your teams output for quality compliance.
Troubleshooting & Efficiency Identify and address machine or process issues quickly. Recommend improvements to reduce waste increase throughput and minimize downtime.
Team Coordination Collaborate with supervisors engineers and schedulers to prioritize tasks delegate responsibilities and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
Safety & Compliance Lead by example in maintaining a safe organized and compliant work environment. Conduct safety checks and briefings daily.
Qualifications
Experience 3 years of press brake operation with at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role in a sheet metal or precision fabrication setting.
Technical Knowledge Skilled in reading technical drawings and setting up/programming press brake machines. Familiarity with forming a variety of materials and working within tight tolerances.
Leadership Ability Track record of mentoring operators organizing shift work and improving team performance.
Attention to Detail High standards for measurement inspection and output consistency.
Compliance Training: Must be AS9100 ISO and ITAR trained with a solid understanding of quality standards documentation control and export compliance procedures.
Communication & Collaboration Clear professional communicator who works well with cross-functional teams and leads by example.
Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certifications or training in metal fabrication or CNC operations are a plus.
