The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill invites applications for the position of Assistant Registrar for Scheduling within the Office of the University Registrar ( OUR ). We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative service-driven environment and is committed to supporting the academic mission of one of the nations premier public research universities. As a central administrative office OUR plays an essential role in maintaining the academic integrity and operational continuity of the University. The office is responsible for core functions including academic records management registration classroom scheduling transcript services degree conferral and compliance with FERPA NCAA and Veterans Affairs regulations. The Assistant Registrar for Scheduling is a key member of this dynamic team and serves as a leader in the coordination and implementation of academic scheduling processes across the institution. Reporting to the Associate University Registrar for Infrastructure the Assistant Registrar for Scheduling leads the Course and Classroom Scheduling unit and provides strategic and operational leadership for academic scheduling in general-purpose classrooms (GPCs) and related systems. This position ensures equitable and policy-compliant scheduling of courses and instructional spaces maintains the integrity of scheduling data and collaborates with stakeholders across campus to optimize classroom usage and meet institutional priorities. The position will also supervise a team of permanent staff. The Assistant Registrar acts as the primary administrator for the Universitys scheduling software (25Live) and oversees the integration of scheduling data across core systems including ConnectCarolina and SPOTS . Responsibilities include coordinating final exam scheduling managing the release of course seats for New Student Orientation analyzing classroom utilization trends and participating in long-term classroom planning to accommodate enrollment growth. This role is also instrumental in interpreting and applying academic policy related to scheduling supporting curricular changes and ensuring compliance with federal financial aid and billing requirements when new sessions or academic calendars are introduced. With a strong focus on customer service and cross-campus collaboration the Assistant Registrar serves as a central liaison between OUR and campus partners including deans offices academic departments Facilities ITS Enrollment Services and the Classroom Hotline. The successful candidate will demonstrate a deep commitment to access equity and academic excellence contributing to data-informed decision-making and strategic planning in support of the Universitys evolving academic enterprise.

Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Knowledge of university academic structures and of student support services are preferred. Supervisory experience is strongly recommended preferably in a customer service area. Experience with 25 Live Course Scheduling software and PeopleSoft preferred.
