Job Title: Junior Ophthalmologist
Location: On-site Yelahanka Bangalore India
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages.
- Diagnose and manage a range of ocular conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Perform minor surgical procedures such as cataract extractions and laser surgeries.
- Assist in major surgical procedures under the supervision of senior ophthalmologists.
- Prescribe medications and therapy for eye-related issues.
- Educate patients and their families on eye care and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology.
- Participate in departmental meetings and case reviews.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients.
- Assist in clinical research projects when necessary.
Qualifications:
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- MS or DOMS in Ophthalmology.
- Valid medical license in India.
- Experience in patient care within an ophthalmology setting is preferred.
- Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using eye examination tools and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability.
- Knowledge of common ocular diseases and treatment protocols.
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining patient records.
- Empathy and compassion in dealing with patients.
- Flexibility to work on weekends or holidays if required.
