The SEEM Collaborative Program is seeking to fill the position of Teacher of the Deaf - Aural/Oral (Listening and Spoken Language). The position is itinerant and provides services to students in our 11-member districts and occasionally at SEEM programs. The position includes the following responsibilities: writing IEP goals/objectives attending and participating in IEP/504 meetings providing direct service to students and consultation to school and classroom-based staff. Additional responsibilities may include in-service training for educational teams. Students range in age from preschool through age 22. The preferred candidate will possess DESE licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf - Aural/Oral. Bachelors degree required masters degree preferred. The candidate should have knowledge and experience in language speech and auditory development of children with hearing loss as well as experience with hearing aids cochlear implants and FM systems.
Must be able to lift pull or push approximately 40 lbs and have the ability to move quickly from standing to floor and floor to standing.
Employment is contingent upon passing a SAFIS fingerprint and CORI screening.
