Position Summary
Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM) is seeking an engaging content creator to manage the agencys communications functions. The Communications Manager is responsible for managing the external communications function and assisting with internal communication strategies to support the mission of Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM).
Some of the duties include:
- Manage content creation for LMMs media platforms and publications
- Lead writing editing and publishing the quarterly agency newsletter and annual report.
- Create media and communications publications for LMM programs/departments.
- Develop marketing materials for agency events.
- Manage social media content and platforms (images page links banners etc.)
- Manage LMM display screen(s) at main building
- Update and maintain agency website in coordination/collaboration with the site administrator.
- Manage external vendors that develop print materials (printers graphic designers etc.) and electronic media (media platform and AV vendors etc.).
- Oversee inventory of print materials and order/reorder materials as needed.
- Report outcomes of content engagement
- Archive and record media content.
- Track social media web and e-newsletter engagement.
- Develop monthly content themes in collaboration with the Director of Individual Giving and Director of Public Relations
- Provide training and support for Board Portal content management.
- Manage correspondence for LMM general email account; identify and elevate/share with Director of PR when content or emails related to PR and crisis communications are submitted
- Effective supervision of Communications Intern.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in English Communications or related field. Graduate degree a plus.
- 4 years communications and/or marketing experience preferably in a nonprofit setting.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products and an ability to learn new software without difficulty.
- Valid Ohio drivers license and proof of insurance required
