Job Description
Duties:
- Fabricate Carbon-fiber/Kevlar/Epoxy parts including aircraft wings fairings and other aircraft hardware components.
- Design and fabricate the molds associated with the above components.
- Work with staff engineers to develop the manufacturing space specialized equipment and processes for composite manufacturing.
- Perform in-field repairs and design adaptations.
- Competent in fabricating high quality composite components coming from either the aerospace industry or parallel markets involving yacht sailboat surfboard automotive aftermarket parts or R/C airplane manufacturing. Preference will be given to candidates with portfolios that include the physical product pictures.
- Neat organized orientated towards excellence making effort and taking pride in the quality of his output towards mechanically sound and visually appealing parts. Candidates who know they do not fit these criteria need not apply!
- Innovative out-of-the-box thinker and self-learner
- FEA and related computational skills geared towards design and optimization of composite aircraft structures
- Comfortable with CNC machining and power tools
