We are seeking a highly experienced industrial maintenance technician to ensure the seamless operation safety and optimal performance of our pole treating and production facility. This person will oversee and implement an array of intricate maintenance and repair tasks conduct advanced equipment inspections and play a critical role in driving operational excellence.
SCHEDULE:
First Shift: M-F overtime as needed (weekends and holidays may be required).
STARTING PAY:
$32 - $42 based on experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Variable frequency drives and programmable logic controllers
Heavy machinery and diesel mechanics
Pump alignment and hydraulics
The successful candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude a creative approach to problem solving and be driven to identify the root cause of issues. Additionally they will have the ability to work independently as well as a team-first mentality and strong interpersonal skills.
Extensive experience in general maintenance or a related industry with the above-listed industrial systems is required. Degree or certification in welding pipefitting hydraulics and/or Millwright certification is a plus. A valid drivers license and reliable transportation is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand walk reach with hands and arms and is frequently required to sit talk and hear and to use hands to finger handle or feel. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by the job include peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment characteristics are best defined as a treating plant environment with exposure to elements such as heat cold precipitation or toxic fumes. Employees will have moderate exposure to noise as heard in a pole yard and treating plant environment at times noise levels will exceed safe working levels. Employees will have light exposure to the chemicals and solutions used in treating wood and cleaning the plant. The job requires overtime up to and including overnight stays.
