smartdept. is searching for a Marketing Communications Contractor for a financial industry client located in Riverwoods. The ideal candidate will come with 5 years of experience. This is a hybrid 3-month contract opportunity with the possibility of an extension.
Brief Summary:
This multi-faceted marketing support role will assist the International Communications team in driving acceptance volume and issuance growth for a global payment network. The contractor will manage and update marketing collateral support data-driven storytelling maintain online resources and coordinate with internal teams and agencies to ensure consistent branding and messaging across global regions.
What Youll Do:
- Update refresh and maintain sales support materials marketing collateral and presentations for both internal and client-facing teams
- Create customize and update PowerPoint presentations for use with acquirers merchants and issuers
- Support the development of communications and messaging for internal and external audiences ensuring documentation and organization of final files
- Liaise with agencies for the creation or enhancement of marketing materials presentations and sales collateral
- Coordinate with brand and legal teams to secure approvals for all marketing materials
- Pull data using Tableau or similar tools and transform findings into clear compelling stories for sales and marketing
- Support the creation and maintenance of an online travel guide including monthly content updates and semi-annual city updates
- Organize and manage marketing resources using SharePoint Teams and other Microsoft Office tools
- Maintain and update internal sites and repositories for marketing content
- Manage multiple projects and approvals supporting various marketing initiatives simultaneously
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and agency partners
What Youll Need:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree required (marketing communications business or related field preferred)
- 5 years of relevant marketing experience preferably in B2B or financial services
- Experience in creative development for B2B marketing materials and agency management
- Strong project management and organizational skills; able to manage multiple projects across a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel PowerPoint Word)
- Skilled at visually telling a compelling story through presentations and messaging
- Experience working with data in Tableau or similar analytics platforms
- Familiarity with content organization platforms (Teams SharePoint)
- Comfortable working through new situations and adapting to shifting priorities
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with PR newsletters or partner communications
- Familiarity with international markets and global marketing contexts
- CMS or basic website content management experience
- Working knowledge of branding marketing collateral and communications strategy
- Experience collaborating with agencies and external vendors
