  • Employment Type: Full-Time (35-hour week)
  • Duration: Full Time Continuing role
  • Remuneration: Level 7 from $113k superannuation and leave loading
  • Location: Kensington NSW (3 days campus based/ 2 days WFH)

About Division of Societal Impact Equity and Engagement (DSIEE)

The UNSW Division of Societal Impact Equity and Engagement (DSIEE) supports UNSWs efforts in making positive and lasting impact on society promoting equity and social justice and driving engagement activities that enhance UNSWs reputation as a key contributor to society through its research teaching and community engagement.

Why your role matters

In this position you will develop engaging content for learning experiences that form part of our educational outreach programs along with other initiatives aimed at promoting student equity. Working closely with a dynamic team across the Division particularly within Learning Experiences you will contribute to impactful projects that make a real difference. This role reports to the Manager of Learning Experiences and does not have direct reports.

Specific accountabilities for this role include:

  • Develop innovative student-centered educational programming resources and training for pre-tertiary (high school) outreach programs and student equity initiatives.
  • Support end-to-end project management for Student Equity initiatives including relationship management with third-party consultants/organisations and UNSW faculties management of project timelines and delivery of initiatives.
  • Embed evidence-based feedback and evaluation strategies and tools into programming resources and trainings to ensure program design meets strategic and learning outcomes.

About You:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification with substantial relevant experience and/or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any other combination of education training and/or experience. Qualifications and experience in Secondary Teaching is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in the design and delivery of educational activities and learning experiences for pre-tertiary (high school) students.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the issues facing students from underrepresented and low-socioeconomic status backgrounds
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues partners and stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver concurrent projects with strong attention to detail balancing effective time management prioritisation and collaboration across teams and stakeholder groups.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to facilitate group discussions and deliver presentations.
  • Advanced level of computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A full and unencumbered drivers licence and the ability and willingness to work outside of normal working hours and work at locations across Sydney and NSW.

This role requires the successful candidate to hold a Working with Childrens Check.
