- Establishes a regular drumbeat of activities for the site QS team
- Reviews 3D Model and existing engineering deliverables (e.g. IFC/AFC shop drawings MTOs etc.) to accurately measure the quantum of work (with an initial focus on Structural Architectural Painting)
- Responsible for implementing independent progress measurement initiatives (in accordance with Contractors rules of credit) to supplement provided production data
- Coordinates weekly site visits / deep dives into areas of work
- Conducts spot checks (desktop and site) of Contractors provided progress data
- Supports Contract Manager with the resolution of VOs by providing subject matter expertise
- Responsible for the preparation of man-hour estimates for the disciplines covered
- Liaise with the site planning team to map measured quantities to Primavera P6 and highlights areas of the schedule at risk
- Liaise with engineering leads to resolve quantity related issues / inconsistencies
- Always Upholds Clients HSE standards by actively participating in regular safety walks and delivering safety moments
Qualifications :
- Extensive experience (25 yrs) in quantity surveying in oil & gas energy infrastructure sector (offshore wind experience a bonus) Yard fabrication experience preferred - A mix of Client and EPC experience ideal
- Experience with claims evaluation and resolution commercial negotiations contract administration
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS tools
- Experience with managing teams (multi-location experience preferred)
- RICS certification or other industry related certifications a bonus (e.g. PMP by Project Management Institute)
- Capable of delivering clear and concise presentations writing reports
- Familiarity with lidar scanning technologies and ability to navigate 3D Models (e.g. Navisworks)
- Self-organized self-motivated individual
- Good negotiating and analytical skills
- Willing to coach more junior resources
- Excellent communicator (Fluent in English oral and written)
