Job Description

We also operate a fleet of more than 80 aircraft including state-of-the-art Airbus A320/21 NEO aircraft and the Airbus A320 family and Boeing 787-8s.  Every day we enable more people to takeoff to more places more often.

As the Test Lead / Lead Tester you will oversee and manage the testing activities across one or more medium sized projects. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through effective test planning coordination and execution of testing strategies across defined project deliveries. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership qualities hands-on testing experience and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional team across the Operations Technology Flight Operations space.

The ideal candidate would have worked on web and mobile applications highly integrated systems digitisation of paper-based processes and roster bidding initiatives. Preferably the candidate would have experience in aviation or interconnected industry or similar initiatives in the operations space.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review business requirements process maps and user stories to develop detailed test plans schedules status reports and summary documentation.
  • Collaborate closely with business users analysts developers test managers and project/product managers to align on project goals and testing requirements.
  • Communicate testing progress risks and outcomes effectively to project stakeholders at all levels and across the Airline Ops Domain.
  • Lead and facilitate defect triage meetings ensuring timely resolution of issues in coordination with project teams.
  • Plan coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and PVT activities including planning execution and reporting with business and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in design reviews offering insights on requirements product design and potential risks.
  • Analyse software requirements and user stories to create comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date test documentation including plans cases and execution reports.
  • Log and track issues in accordance with the projects defect problem and issue management protocols.
  • Create manage and document defects using Xray (Jira) ensuring traceability and resolution.

What You Will Bring:

  • Over 5 years of experience in similar roles within large complex projects.
  • Proven test leadership or lead tester and communication skills fostering collaboration across diverse teams.
  • Hands-on experience working in matrixed environments using Agile hybrid and scaled methodologies and between project and test capability teams.
  • Strong prioritization abilities with a risk-based testing mindset to ensure critical coverage.
  • Skilled in developing and executing comprehensive test strategies including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and schedules.
  • Preferably experienced in aviation-related systems such as crew rostering and turn management systems.
  • Effective communicator adept at engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly adaptable thriving in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
  • Detail-oriented ensuring accuracy in test design execution and reporting.
  • Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills to coordinate across vendors business units and technical teams.
  • Excellent time management capable of handling multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Aviation experience would be desirable for this role.
