Job Description
Job Type: Full Time 45hrs
Salary: 37000
Key Responsibilities:
- To support the senior kitchen team in the day to day running of the operation.
- To provide food/service to a consistently high standard including assisting senior chefs with functions in other different areas throughout the business.
- Supporting the team training and mentoring all Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters allowing them to grow for the future.
- To liaise with key people in the team in order to plan for the provision of food in all kitchen areas.
- To ensure smooth running of daily operations which include ensuring no disruption to the pre-agreed menu offer.
- Responsible for managing stock levels of that specific area including ordering when required as well as waste control.
- Ensure the presentation of the food is consistent with the standards set by senior chefs.
- To ensure that all legislative and Government guidelines are adhered to including The Food Safety Act Health and Safety at Work Act the COSHH regulations etc. within the areas of responsibility.
- Demonstrate Personal Development.
- Occasional early breakfast shift cover when required.
- Any other reasonable request by the Senior Management.
Qualifications :
- Be driven by people and delivering the highest quality of food.
- Exemplary behaviour in the kitchen acting as an ambassador within the team.
- Innovative and inspiring culinary ideas for events and dining menus.
- Previous experience as Chef de Partie or a Commis Chef wanting to progress in Events Hotel or high end restaurants.
- Ability to mentor a team.
- Able to demonstrate an excellent understanding of Health and Safety practices
