Do you want to be part of a feminist organisation that is dedicated to making a future where gender equality is a reality YWCA Australia is currently seeking multiple Accommodation Workers to provide practical non-medical support to guests from rural and remote areas accessing hospital treatment including assistance with accommodation and daily needs.
- Location: Larrakia Land - Darwin (Office)
- Contract: Part-Time Ongoing three opportunities
- Shifts: Day or Night shifts (with sleep over) available
- Award: SCHADS Award 2010 Level 2
- Salary: $34.58 to $37.73 an hour Super relevant loadings
- Benefits: Salary packaging up to $18550

About the team
The Medical Accommodation Program Team supports the provision of comfortable lodging for people traveling to Darwin for medical appointments or treatment. We operate two accommodation facilities: Barbara James House and Doctor Helen Phillips Cottages. Learn more about our services here.
About this opportunity
As an Accommodation Worker you will:
- Manage reservations check-ins/outs and assist with guest enquiries.
- Assist with accommodation admin tasks and help guests organize travel plans.
- Monitor guest activity and perform First Aid/Fire Warden duties if needed.
- Help housekeeping and kitchen teams with cleaning laundry and food service tasks.
- Operate the kiosk handle stock and payments and assist with event setup.
About You
As a great candidate you will:
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with guests and colleagues; work independently and collaboratively.
- Demonstrate respect for cultural diversity and social differences in a socially inclusive environment.
- Show initiative creativity and effective problem-solving skills in daily tasks.
- Willingness to work shifts including nights weekends and public holidays.
- Hold or be willing to obtain First Aid and Food Safety certificates NT Drivers Licence Criminal History Check and a valid Working with Children/Vulnerable People check.
