JOB SUMMARY
Provide assistance in planning coordinating the daily operations of the Risk Management & Safety Office and streamlines the Districts workers compensation and insurance activities in a timely and professional manner in compliance with State rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for submission of claims to workers compensation third-party administrator.
- District contact related to workers compensation for employee supervisor third party administrator and provider.
- Maintain all District reporting requirements and paperwork related to workers compensation such as lost-time claims.
- Responsible for all budget transfer requests verifying funds and assisting in the yearly preparation of Risk Management & Safety budget.
- Monitors and administers the districts online training program generates reports for District personnel and maintains all records associated with the training program.
- Maintains the OSHA log and the scanning of all department documents.
- Process paperwork related to drills and inspections and communicate information to schools and District leadership.
- Work directly with community partners to provide employee training.
- Monitor training registrations and ensure all materials are available.
- Process and coordinate property insurance claims for the District.
- Receive and submit all paperwork and reporting related to property insurance.
- Assist in coordinating activities and payment associated with student accident athletic boiler fleet and general liability insurance.
- Coordinate yearly performance bonds.
- Work with auto insurance carrier regarding Personal Injury Protection (PIP).
- Process notary applications for District and process employee reimbursements for notary fees.
- Responsible for department purchasing and issuing of purchase orders invoicing remote entry of payroll for the department.
- Demonstrates the ability to communicate in more than one language or the willingness to learn to communicate in more than one language at the novice level of proficiency.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Generally accepted budgeting accounting and auditing principles computerized accounting reports standards and procedures.
- Accounting and fiscal systems policies procedures and practices.
- District accounting and fiscal operations.
- Modern office practices procedures and equipment.
- Record-keeping techniques.
- District organization operations policies and objectives.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Applicable sections of Kentucky Administrative Regulations and other applicable laws.
- Technical aspects of budgeting.
- Familiarity with basic computer systems and the ability to utilize various software efficiently.
- Experience with MUNIS/ERP software.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate
- College level training/experience in business administration preferred with emphasis in accounting finance and three years of increasingly responsible professional accounting experience.

Must take all required clerical assessments and earn a passing score.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
