Hourly Rate: $22.00
Duties & Responsibilities
- Create a professional respectful student-centered learning environment for personalized instruction. We provide instructors with curriculum assessment tools and other electronic resources; we need you to do the magic!
- Classroom management and interpersonal skills are essential to build the student-instructor relationships needed for student success.
- Strong verbal and written skills are required for professional-level reporting whether daily through bi-weekly meetings monthly reports etc.
- Instructors are role models and education advocates for our at-risk youth.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required from an accredited College or University.
- Teaching certification and one year of work experience in business or educational field; or eight (8) or more years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience; experience working with the at-risk population strongly preferred. Previous experience working as an Instructor/Teacher is preferred.
- Must be able to meet requirements for Eckerds Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.
- Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.

About Our Workforce Programs:
Eckerd Connects provides Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards partnerships and strategies to provide and create a career pathway for youth adults and dislocated workers. Training services include occupational skills training customized training on-the-job training incumbent worker training and transitional employment opportunities. We provide youth with development academic instruction career & technical education and access to the 14 WIOA Youth Elements. We establish and develop relationships and networks with large and small employers and their intermediaries as well as develop convene or implement industry or sector partnerships.
