Job Description

GALT Aerospace is seeking a Full-Time salaried Accounts Payable Manager to handle the following:

• Ensure all invoices are accurately reviewed coded and processed in compliance with internal policies and FAR/DFAR

• Oversee the 3-way matching process for purchase orders receipts and invoices process vendor payments and matching purchase orders

• Maintain vendor records monitor aging reports and manage payment terms to optimize cash flow 

• Maintain AP Vendor Setup: banking verifications docs retrieval

• Book and reconcile the company credit card transactions

• Interface with Purchasing / Receiving and monthly reconciliation of POs

• Process expense reports and reconcile travel costs to projects and GL ledgers

• Support CPA reviews DCAA audits and GAAP and FAR compliance

• Implement and maintain internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure accuracy of AP records

• Prepare and issue year-end 1099 forms for all eligible vendors in compliance with IRS regulations

• Assist with AP policies and procedures reviews updates or create new policies or procedures as needed to improve AP processes and systems for efficiency and compliance

• Assist the Accounting Manager with any accounting functions

• Learn and utilize Unanet accounting system

• Work well with all other departments

• Any other projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager/Controller or the CFO

Required Skills Experience and Education 

• 10  years of accounting experience 

• 5 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable including 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role

• Advanced MS Excel knowledge and skills

• U.S. Citizen

• Knowledge and experience with FAR CAS and DCAA compliance

• Knowledge of GAAP

• Great attention to detail

• Self-motivated and self-disciplined individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills Experience and Education

• BS or BA degree in related field

• Familiarity with Unanet ERP system or similar ERP tailored for government contractors.

Physical Requirements 

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time

• Constantly operates a computer 

Pay Scale

At GALT Aerospace base pay is one part of the total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $85000-$105000 and a specific candidates base pay will depend on their skills qualifications experience and location.
