Were now seeking a Risk Lead to help build and shape our UK risk framework and embed a strong risk culture across our fast-growing UK operations.
The UK Risk team plays a key role in supporting business resilience and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the UK Chief Risk Officer (CRO) youll collaborate with both UK and Group-level stakeholders to develop enhance and embed a robust Risk Management Framework tailored to our UK entity and branch.
As Risk Management Lead youll:
Take the operational lead in building the Risk Management Framework in the UK alongside the CRO and Group Risk
Conduct risk identification workshops with 1st Line teams and support mitigation strategies and control designs
Collaborate on setting Risk Appetite Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and emerging risk identification
Maintain and oversee incident logs monitor control effectiveness and ensure follow-up on risk events
Draft and update risk policies and contribute to internal reporting (Boards and Committees)
Support the ORSA process and risk reporting to UK management committees
Act as a key 2nd Line representative providing challenge and guidance to risk owners
Train and support 1st Line stakeholders and champions on risk obligations and culture
Support in embedding a 3-lines-of-defence model and a proactive risk-aware culture
Minimum 5 years of experience in Risk Management in Financial Services
Strong knowledge of UK insurance regulations and frameworks
Experience in UK General Insurance is a strong advantage
Exposure to GRC tools Microsoft Excel and risk analytics
Confident in working across teams and producing clear governance documentation
Able to simplify complex topics for different stakeholders
Proactive structured and solutions-oriented
Detail-driven with high standards for accuracy
Comfortable managing multiple topics in a fast-paced environment
Effective communicator with gravitas across all levels
High integrity and ownership a trusted voice in risk matters
Naturally curious and collaborative someone who thinks globally but executes locally

Collaborate with Group-level leaders while working in an agile local team
Contribute to high-impact strategic work with exposure to Board-level stakeholders
