Refuse Loader

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Brentwood to assist with the appointment of a Refuse Loader on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 13.33 - 15.94 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Collect waste and recycling from approx. 550 residential properties as part of a trial refuse collection scheme (one day per week).
• Litter picking and emptying public litter bins across Brentwood and Shenfield High Streets (four days per week).
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained in assigned areas.
• Operate safely and efficiently in public spaces following council procedures.
• Report any issues hazards or required follow-ups to the relevant supervisor.
• Adhere to scheduled working hours and routes.

Essential Requirements:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Good level of physical fitness (role involves manual handling and walking long distances)
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Punctuality and reliability
• Previous experience in waste management or cleansing services is desirable but not essential
