Administrative Assistant - Carers
Location: Coburg and Preston with hybrid working
Employment Type: Full-Time (Maternity Leave position - 12 months)

Holstep Health provides expert compassionate comprehensive local healthcare throughout every stage of life. We provide more than 120 health and social care services to people in the north north-west and north-east of metropolitan Melbourne as well as state-wide services with Carer Gateway and Gamblers Help.

Holstep Health was formed in October 2024 following the merger of Banyule Community Health and Merri Health. We proudly announced our new name - Holstep Health - created with and for our community in February 2025.

About the role

We are seeking a highly professional and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the Director/s within the Client Services divisions. Reporting to the Executive Assistant - Client Services this is a key support role requiring discretion initiative and strong organisational skills.

Desirable

  • Previous experience working within the health and/or community sector

  • Be able to provide high-level confidential administrative support to the Directors.

  • Ability to prioritise and determine workload priorities

  • Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and work independently and unsupervised

  • Demonstrate initiative and flexibility in an evolving organisation

  • Display a strong team ethic and a willingness to provide and receive support where required

  • Possess well developed communication and inter-personal skills

  • Ability to manage diaries travel and meeting logistics

  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Key selection criteria

  • Relevant experience in providing high level support to a Senior Manager preferably in a similar role in health disability and/or community services industry

  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities while providing administrative support to the Directors

  • Ability to work with broad supervision and to identify priorities to meet competing deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to draft professional documents correspondence and summarise information.

  • Ability to communicate with influence and work collaboratively to resolve complex issues

  • Proven ability to build and manage relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including senior executives government and community leaders.

  • Highly developed Microsoft Office skills (Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint) and confidence in using digital tools for scheduling project tracking and reporting
