Job Description
The Shipping Coordinator will work closely with the Area Manager Shipping Supervisors and Supply Chain to assist in efficient and effective operations of the packaging and shipping departments. They will be responsible for finished goods inventory accuracy of both in and out of spec products.
You will be onsite at the Lake Charles LA plant and report to the Operations Manager. QEMETICA offers excellent medical dental and vision benefits; match 401k and retirement benefits; and paid holidays and vacation.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and track inventory of finished good
- Complete product cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy
- Perform weekly row audits and adjust inventory as necessary
- Follow production/packing schedule to set up material reclaiming coordinate with production on blending needs
- Track waste quantities and coordinate disposal and write off material
- Monitor busted/off weight pallets for reconfiguration
- Verify daily hourly employee time
- Develop and post weekly schedules for job coverage
- Assist in customer complaint root cause analysis solution implementation and tracking.
- Ensure organization tracking and documentation of shipping paperwork inspections etc
- Assist Area Manger and production engineer in improvement efforts
Qualifications
- Possession of an advanced degree is beneficial but not required based on prior work experience
- Have a history of and commitment to safe work practices
- Possess attention to detail and communication skills both verbal and written including the ability to interact effectively with associates at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of SAP is beneficial but not required
- Strong organizational skills
