Job Title: Event Coordinator
Location: Redwood City CA 94063
Duration: 5 Months
HYBRID - This is a hybrid 3 or more days working onsite (8-5)
Summary
The Temp Events Coordinator is responsible for coordinating event parking in the main and Redwood City campuses and interacting with faculty staff students vendors and organizations having events on both campuses.
Typical duties:
- Answer phone and email requests and communications regarding the events parking program.
- Build and maintain relationships with event coordinators vendors and internal and external partners.
- Process requests for event parking.
- Coordinate parking with the collaboration of the Operations team for parking availability and signage and enforcement with the Department of Public Safety.
- Manage the event parking calendar event parking inventory system and website information.
- Generate invoices and process event parking payments.
- Manage event parking signage.
- Gather metrics data on event parking.
- Provide general administrative assistance for the department; handle phone calls emails and other correspondence relating to event(s).
- May be required to drive to main campus to assist with event logistics utilizing department motor pool vehicle.
Requirements:
- High school diploma and four years of administrative experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree and two years of relevant experience or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills and demonstrated experience with office software and email applications.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills; detail oriented.
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Ability to function effectively and multi-task in a fast-paced high-pressure environment with frequent interruptions.
- Be able to perform detailed and repetitive work accurately and expeditiously.
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving taking initiative judgment and making sound decisions.
- Requires occasional work schedule adjustments and ability to work overtime during peak periods.
- Valid California non-commercial class drivers license.
