Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in fundraising software including producing donor queries and using fundraising software to receipt thank conduct prospect research and manage donors.
  • Establish and maintain a system for immediate and accurate retrieval of key donor and prospect information; maintain hard file system as needed.
  • Prepare information packets for donor visits employee giving potential sponsors churches and volunteers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records for donations and balance against finance monthly.
  • Plan coordinate and assist with meetings internal office special occasions events and presentations.
  • Perform secretarial and administrative tasks such as copying collating and assembling documents.
  • Responsible for inventorying and ordering all office supplies.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining the Donation Closet inventory list and ordering supplies while working with the Volunteer and Grants Manager.
  • Assist with special event(s) marketing and direct mail pieces all campaigns and donor relations as needed.
  • Initial point of contact for anyone entering the Foundation office.
  • Intercept in-kind donations delivered to the Foundation office as needed.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Development Manager and Executive Director.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Excellent verbal written and organizational skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively with a multitude of personalities.
  • At least one year of relevant experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and methods.
  • Knowledge of database systems preferred.
  • Ability to readily become proficient in use of fundraising software. Knowledge of Blackbaud programs and OneCause platform a plus.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft applications (Word and Excel) and a willingness to learn new programs as required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Personal integrity character collaborative and a strong sense of ethics.
  • Deadline and detail oriented.
  • Must be able to maintain effective audio visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations communicating with others reading and writing and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.
  • Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means to review information and enter/retrieve data to see and read characters on a computer screen chart or other treatment items.
  • Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health regardless of gender race creed religion or sexual orientation or gender identification.

Flu shot is mandatory and required for all positions (subject to qualified exemptions).
